A bit more
I'm an Illustrator and a writer.
I graduated August of 2009 with my Bachelors of Science for Media Arts and Animation. I not only love to draw day in and day out, but I love to write. I hope that one day I will write not only a few childrens books (and illustrate them) but also a few young adult novels as well. My favorite style of childrens writing would have to be Shel Silverstien, Robert Frost and of course Mr. Dr. Suess himself. As for adult novels, I don't have just one favorite but many favorites for many different reasons. However, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Johnathan Stroud are the two that are sticking out in my mind the most.
As far as my career background, I'm a 'Jill' of many trades. But the one place that I have gained experience in my field of study was ImaginEngine. It was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was very fun and outgoing (perfect for an artist), and the people there were very kind. It was also a very big honor that they used my work and put my name in the credits for the Dora (& the Explorer Girls)'s game! Click here to see!
Before college I was in a trade school and I earned my CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) after four years of volunteering. I worked in the E.R (my personal favorite), Oncology & the Alzheimer's and Dementia Unit.My hobbies apart from drawing and writing are reading, dancing, finding four leaf clovers, face painting, playing with my leopard gecko (Apollo) & Arts and Crafts whenever I get the chance. My newest hobby to add to the collection is crocheting! I used to be into sports as well, and really hope to get back into them someday in the future. My three main sports were track (two medals), cheerleading (co-captain),& soccer (plaque).
